Elevate ~ A Bit of Sunshine

She’s a little bit of sunshine,
She’s a smile to light your days,
She will steal your heart and
keep it with her warm endearing ways,
She’s your precious little daughter,
With a sweetness from above
Who will fill your years with laughter
and your lives with lots of love.” ~ Author Unknown

When I started to realize what my style was, I noticed that in all the photos that I liked, parts of the body was hidden.  It took me FOREVER to get this angle, but I made it a goal for this month’s ELEVATE project.  I want to just get a peak into her face through the bonnet.

The bonnet and dress are from Eden’s Bouquet and can be found here.  Jen (the owner) has sent me the cutest swimsuits which I will be posting here shortly.

To see how our fine art exploration group all got started, please click here.  Please continue on to the BRILLIANT Photographer Paula Burgoon and see what she has done this month.  Happy Monday!!

Kamee june - Gina,
Hey there, friend!
I love that all of the previous comments shared how this is so “you” and “your style”. That in itself is the mark of fine art: being true to how you, as a true creative, see and experience the world around you!
You make me want to capture my children more and I am grateful for that!!
Sending you a hug and a frozen hot chocolate from serendipity!! Xox me

“Photography is the only “language” understood in all parts of the world,
and bridging all nations and cultures, it links the family of man.” ~ Helmut Gernsheim

This is one of the reasons I love photography.  One does not have to learn how to read or write to understand a photo.  All you have to do is simply look.  Even a baby can be excited about a photo.

I loved the monthly project that sisters Alisia, Mandy Lynne and Charla Anne did last year.  So, this year, I have partnered up with Breeze Floyd, a photographer in North Stonington, Connecticut and Valeria Spring of Seattle, Washington to embark on a new photographic journey.  This new project will involve on triptych on the last day of each month.  A triptych is a work of art divided into three sections.  Breeze will take the left, Val will be in the middle and I will be on the far right.  We will take a theme, interpret it and post it as a triptych.  To extrapolate on our theme of three, our title will be the theme itself and it will be in English, Spanish and Korean.  Without further ado, here is our first triptych.

Renee - What a great project! I love black and white and can’t wait to see your project every month!

Jennifer N - This is going to be a fun project to follow. i can’t wait to see more. so far so good!

Sandi - Oh, stunning! I love it. What a great idea. Can’t wait to see more.

Amy - Love, love, love this! Can’t wait to see more from you!

Katie - Very cool, creative idea. Love the processing in all three. Just beautiful!

elizabeth pellette - these are just amazing… love them.. and that house is wow.. just awesome.

Paula - Gorgeous work, Gina! Your work is very inspiring! Can’t wait to see more of it in Elevate. :)

Rebecca - A little Bloom love. This is wonderful!
